Translation of "Home Again" - Mixed media on wood cradled panel
Many of my paintings are translations of popular music heard on the radio today. For this series, I took the songs by Michael Kiwanuka and translated his blend of blues, R&B, and jazz, with melodies that strike a chord in today's time. They are beautiful, rhythmic, and feel like coming home. I am thankful for his music as it has helped me create these paintings during the quarantine.
For all my paintings, I use professional-grade materials. The painting is sealed with a UV protectant, acrylic varnish to keep the colors vibrant for its lifetime.
Please note: This painting is NOT framed but is cradled with a 2-inch deep wood frame. The sides have been left as sanded wood. It is wired in the back and ready to hang on your wall. I always include a Certificate of Authenticity for you to use with your insurance company and for posterity!
