Abstract Painting Techniques Demo

If you are new to abstract painting, the jump from traditional, objective painting may leave you mystified with how professional abstract painters can achieve a variety of textures and finishes using the same paint you are using! This demo will cover a variety of water-based media (focused on acrylic paint and mediums), tools, and supports used in abstract painting processes. Leave with an arsenal of new techniques and an understanding of materials. Bring a notebook to take notes!

WHEN:  There are several dates available. Each date will cover similar information, but the longer sessions will cover more techniques.

WHO: The class is open to anyone who wants to expand their painting techniques in water-based and acrylic paints. Ages 17 and up. I require at least 4 students to hold a class.

WHAT:  This is a demo with artist Shany Porras presenting. No hands-on option is available at this demo, but I will provide you with information sheets that list products and techniques. Please do bring a notebook to capture your own notes.
