Hancock Shaker Village Solo Show

Simple Gifts:  Visual Translations of Shaker Hymns and Copland Music is currently showing at Hancock Shaker Village through November 30, 2025.

Artist Shany Porras explores the intersection of sound and sight through a collection of mixed media paintings, drawings, and watercolors. Inspired by the meditative simplicity of Shaker hymns and the evocative compositions of Aaron Copland, this exhibition transforms music into contemporary visual form, capturing the harmony, spirituality, and rhythm of these timeless works.
